In the exploration of ways to make the web site easier to update I took a closer look at the concept of blogging as a means for posting announcements, articles, etc. This is how it works:

·         Anyone in our department who has a valid account on our web site AND permission can create a blog.

·         The blog can be moderated if desired, comments can be posted, etc.

·         User can post to their blog from the web site, or from tools such as Windows Live Writer (FREE) or Word 2007 ($$$). Posts can be public or private.

San Juan College is offering 2 Fire Instructor I courses this summer. Attached are the flyers for the classes. The first will be held every Monday night from 1800 – 2200 starting July 6. The second class will be held in one week on August 10 thru 14, 800 – 1700. For the one week course, the students are required to read chapters 1 thru 13 of the text book and complete the same chapters in the study guide prior to the start of the class. This is due to the short amount of time for home work in the class. Keep in mind that there will be other home work for the class other than reading.

Please call with questions.

Thanks,
