Nov8Written by:Kathy Hogan 11/8/2009 7:17 PM As many of you know, I have recently bought a business and have been out of the district quite a bit. I would like to take this opportunity to let the membership know that I plan to resign as the EMS Lieutenant at the next officer’s meeting. Yes, giving up the orange helmet. I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve the Department in such a capacity. What an incredible group you are! I feel privileged to be in such good company. It has been a very positive and memorable experience, I have definitely learned a lot! However, as I’m sure you have noticed, I have not been as available as I should have been for this position in this last year. For this I apologize, especially to those who have had to pick up the load I could not. I would encourage anyone interested in this position to approach an officer and let them know. As I already mentioned, it has been a very positive experience and I would do it again if circumstances allow. Thank you! Kathy
Editor’s Note: As EMS Captain, it has been my profound pleasure and honor to work beside Kathy as an EMS Officer. Her fair, level-headed, professional approach has brought much to the table for the department. Despite her thought that she hasn’t been as available as much as she might like, she’s done yeoman’s work behind the scenes, accomplishing the tasks and supplying the labor that keeps the department functioning at its best. From helping plan and produce the magnificent awards banquet to ordering medical supplies, to writing grants and participating in training and assisting with station maintenance, she’s done it all, and with the best of attitudes. She’s an asset to the department in any capacity! Thank YOU, Kathy, for everything.Tags: |
